The "winning Animal Advocates Team" At the beginning of the Spokane Humane Society's 6th Annual Parade of Paws on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the Shelter.
Preceding the event, "PACKS" of walkers got bids for donations to SHS in a competition with other teams. The winner, the Animal Advocates Pack consisted of Royln Hiatt and Rosie, Chris Bowers and Sammie, Kerry Masters and Duff, Christy Anderlik and K.C. and Connie Tevlin.

The winning team at the end of the two mile (all tongues out) Parade. Our dog pack raised a most amazing $5,000.

Jon Camp visited Spokane in late September this year to pass out Vegan Outreach's cruelty free booklets at 7 of our local Universities: Spokane Community College, Spokane Falls CC, Gonzaga University, Washington State U in Spokane, Whitworth University and Eastern Washington University in Cheney.

The booklets encourage students to avoid the cruelty of an animal-based diet.

This is the second year we have helped house these dedicated Vegan Outreach Organization workers.
